Race & Racism

On this episode, Chris is joined again by Dr. Jon Schaff, professor of political science at Northern State University. Chris and Dr. Schaff discuss race and racism, a topic on the minds of many Americans during the last year. They discuss the trial of former police officer Derek Chauvin, who was charged with the death of African-American man George Floyd, and unpack a recent pastoral letter from Bishop Donald DeGrood on Loving Others as God Made Them, which exhorts us to view others in light of the True, Good, and Beautiful, and gives a Christian framework for understanding the sin of racism, with an aim of true and lasting reconciliation.
